OUR STORY

State Representative Corey P. Paris founded Courage 2 Lead PAC in 2021 after he was elected to the 145th District of the Connecticut General Assembly, representing the people of Stamford’s South End, Downtown, and Shippan communities.
 

In local and state government, people of color, women, and young people face numerous disadvantages to elected office throughout Connecticut. These challenges often include a lack of organizational structure and resources, tools and training to run winning campaigns, and the roadblocks of political insiders that disincentivize the leaders of tomorrow from running for office. 

 

Our mission is focused on creating an even playing field and overcoming the challenges of running for elected office for those who are under-represented in the halls of power.
